Master Of Pottery July 2026 Patch Notes
Live tourist comments, extra stands, a souvenir rest area, and confetti on visitor records.
AZGames posted Steam news on 12 July 2026 under the title Update 2026.7.13. The card is a hall patch, not a kiln rewrite. It landed while Master Of Pottery was still in Early Access, two months before the 10 September 2026 1.0 stamp. Every feature on that card is in the current 1.0 client. Nothing on this page is pending. If you installed after launch, you already have live tourist comments, the extra stands, the rest area, and the confetti burst.
The note is four bullets. This page unpacks what those bullets do to a working exhibition hall and how they feed the long Tourist attraction achievement. It does not replace the version 1.0 launch notes. It is the July chapter of the same season. Token rates arrived later, in the September 2026 token notes. Keep the dates straight: July is comments and furniture, September is rooms, 10 September is the full release.
Real-time tourist comments
During an exhibition, tourists now talk. The comments sit on the floor with the visitors, not in a hidden log. They react to the works on the booths. AZGames’ own line is the one that matters: those comments hint which work may be requested for purchase.
That is a live tell on buy letters. Before July 2026 you waited for mail after the doors closed and guessed from heat. Heat still exists. Heat still stalls when a piece has been on the same plinth too long. Comments just speak first. If a group keeps praising one teapot, leave that teapot on the stand. If a bowl sits silent while the urn next to it draws chatter, rotate the bowl after the show.
Comments do not grade clay. They do not change ticket math. They do not count as newspaper ads. They do not add 50,000 visitors by themselves. They make the hall readable. Use them the way you already use heat: keep the noisy piece, swap the quiet one, wait for the letter, then decide whether the map shop is even worth the inspiration it spends.
If you skip reading comments, the old loop still works. Letters still arrive. Shop sales still pay less than a collector letter. The patch is a hint layer, not a new economy. Players who treat every comment as an order to panic-sell will empty the warehouse and stall Collector. Read, wait, then move stock on purpose.
Two exhibition stands and a rest area
Update 2026.7.13 added two exhibition stands and a rest area described as a souvenir counter. They are available for purchase in the online shop. They are not free booths dumped into every save. You buy them.
Treat the two stands as extra plinths. More work on view means more tourists walking a path, which is the same reason Large exhibition hall exists as both an achievement and a business upgrade. Empty corners still waste money. Fill the new stands with mixed letters, not one lonely SSS bottle on a lonely pedestal.
The rest area is a souvenir counter. It is furniture for the hall, a place visitors pause, not a second ticket office and not a second map shop. It does not replace ticket price, newspaper ads, or buy letters. Buy it when the hall is already paying and you want the room to look like a place people linger. Do not skip clay and glaze to rush a souvenir desk.
Online shop here is the in-game shop on the online layer, the same layer the September 2026 note later wired to tokens. Yen in the career store still buys throwing tools, parts, clay, and glaze. Do not confuse the two wallets. A stand you buy from the online shop still holds a career pot. The pot still earns yen from tickets and letters. The purchase path is what changed in July, not the fact that a full hall beats an empty one.
Confetti on a new visitor record
When exhibition visitor count breaks a new record, the hall throws a confetti special effect. That is a celebration, not a multiplier. Confetti does not double ticket income. It does not auto-buy an ad. It does not write a purchase letter. It tells you this show beat your previous peak.
Use it as a checkpoint. If confetti fires after you added the new stands, the extra plinths are doing work. If it never fires after you jacked ticket price, you priced the crowd out. Tourist attraction on the Information screen is a lifetime 50,000 visitor grind. Record bursts are daily peaks. Both numbers matter. Only the lifetime total unlocks the achievement.
A record on a holiday with a cheap newspaper ad is still a record. Chase the conditions that fill the room, not the paper burst itself. Confetti is feedback. The counter is the job.
Visitor count text animation
The same patch optimized the text animation for visitor count display. The number is easier to read as it ticks. That is a UI pass. It does not change how visitors spawn. It does not change holiday or weather tables. It does not inflate the lifetime total. If you used to miss the count because the old animation lagged, this is why the 1.0 hall feels snappier on the counter.
Watch the live count during a show, then confirm the lifetime total on the Information screen after the doors close. Marketing expert, Art merchant, and Tourist attraction all want honest counters. Pretty text does not replace twenty ads or twenty sold works.
What July 2026 did not touch
Throwing is the same mouse-wheel job. The kiln still wants an inside-out fire. Painting and glazing still decide a lot of rank. Inspiration still starts at 100 a day. Apprentices still wait on reputation 500. The twelve Steam achievements did not grow a thirteenth. Suzhou Garden and the pattern packs stayed DLC.
Steam already listed Multi-player. Rooms and token rates got their own Steam news on 8 September 2026, two days before 1.0. July is the hall-readability patch. September is the token patch. 1.0 is the Early Access badge coming off. Play all three as one season, not as three games. The workshop day is still a solo throw, fire, paint, exhibit loop. Rooms sit beside that loop. They do not cancel it.
How to play the July features in 1.0
- Open an exhibition with work on booths, including the new stands if you bought them.
- Watch comments while tourists walk. Note the piece they praise.
- After the show, check mail for a purchase request on that piece.
- Leave praised work on a stand until heat stalls.
- Watch the visitor counter. If a record pops confetti, write down what you changed that day: ticket price, ad, new stand, rest area, holiday.
- Keep grinding toward 50,000 lifetime visitors. Comments and extra stands help the grind. They do not skip it.
If you are new, finish the first-work walkthrough before you shop the souvenir counter. If you already have an Early Access hall, boot the save. The July furniture and comments are in 1.0. The kiln is still the boss.
The 12 July news post is a small Steam card with four bullets. In the hall those bullets mean you can hear a buy before the letter, you can buy two more plinths and a souvenir rest, and you get a burst of paper when a show beats its own crowd. Read the comments, fill the extra stands, and let the record ticker throw confetti when the room is actually full. That is Update 2026.7.13 in play, and it is already running every time you click Next: Exhibition Day.

When did Update 2026.7.13 ship?
Steam news for the patch posted on 12 July 2026, titled Update 2026.7.13. The features are in the 1.0 client that released on 10 September 2026.
Do tourist comments replace buy letters?
No. Comments hint which work may draw a purchase request. The letter is still the sale. Heat, tickets, and ads still run in the background.
Where do I buy the new stands and rest area?
In the online shop. The patch added two exhibition stands and a souvenir-counter rest area as purchases, not as free furniture in every save.
Does confetti increase ticket income?
No. Confetti fires when exhibition visitor count breaks a new record. It is a celebration effect, not a yen multiplier or an extra ad.
Does this patch help Tourist attraction?
Indirectly. Extra stands and a readable hall help fill shows. The achievement still needs 50,000 lifetime visitors on the Information screen.
Did July 2026 add online rooms?
No. Rooms and the public-versus-private token rate arrived in the 8 September 2026 notes, two days before 1.0. July is comments, stands, rest area, and confetti.
